Music in Oddington
Two concerts are taking place this year at Holy Ascension in Oddington as part of a projected series of concerts planned over the next three years.The first takes place at 4:00pm on Saturday 9 May and features five works performed by Jeremy Huw Williams (baritone) and Wendy Hiscox (piano). The second takes place at 4:00pm on Saturday 3 October and features four works performed by Lesley-Jane Rogers (soprano), John Turner (recorder), Coral Lancaster (Cello) and David Ponsford (harpsichord). Launch of The Appeal for St Nicholas Church
The Friends of St. Nicholas have announced the launch of the appeal for St Nicholas Church ‘The Next 1000 Years’.
As with many historic buildings, the church once again requires significant restoration. Hence this appeal to prepare the church for the next millennium. The launch event will take place on the evening of Thursday, 21 May, at the church and will include talks by Sir Loyd Grossman, a lifetime advocate for heritage causes, and Gabriella Smith our eminent historic building surveyor.

Advanced notice of a huge plant sale and open garden at Pasture Farm, Upper Oddington on Sunday 24 and Monday 25 May. 11am – 5pm both days. Teas/coffee and home made cakes. “In and Out of the Garden” stall selling produce, pots, and implements. Plenty of parking at Pasture Farm and dogs on leads welcome.
